Due to a positive case of COVID-19 in the community on the Gold Coast, the Queensland Government has extended the face mask mandate announced yesterday for Brisbane and Moreton Bay to include residents of the Gold Coast.

This applies immediately and will include those who have been on the Gold Coast (dates to be released later today).

Masks are required indoors including workplaces unless you are in a closed office alone. Masks are also required to be used when outdoors if you are unable to maintain physical distance from others.

There will also be restrictions on people visiting hospitals, aged care facilities, prisons and disability care facilities.

Further information will be available on the Queensland Government website.
