Queensland COVID-19 Update

Important COVID-19 information for Queensland.

As of 5pm today, Monday 29 March:

  • Masks will be mandatory in the State of Queensland when indoors (except in your own home)
  • Greater Brisbane residents must wear masks outside the home, including in ride shares, on public transport and in workplaces
  • Greater Brisbane will commence a three-day lockdown as of 5:00pm today, Monday 29 March
  • Greater Brisbane includes the Ipswich, Logan, Redlands, Moreton and Brisbane council areas
  • The Premier has declared greater Brisbane a hotspot and has urged other state and territory leaders to do the same
  • Schools will close from tomorrow (Tuesday). Schools and childcare centres will remain open for vulnerable children and the children of essential workers
  • Residents of Greater Brisbane will only be able to leave their homes for essential reasons like grocery shopping, exercise, work and medical care
  • For psychologists in private practice in Greater Brisbane- we are waiting on official confirmation, however in previous lockdowns, telehealth is the preferred option, with face to face appointments only to be conducted when urgent and clinically necessary and with appropriate precautions, such as wearing masks and following your COVID-Safe plan- we will notify members if we receive information that differs to the above
