26 June 2021 COVID-19 Update for NSW

The NSW Government has released further restrictions including extending stay-at-home orders across all of Greater Sydney including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Wollongong from 6pm today (26 June 2021) until 11.59pm Friday, 9 July.

Everyone in Greater Sydney must stay at home unless it is for an essential reason.

The reasons you may leave your home include:

  • Shopping for food or other essential goods and services;
  • Medical care or compassionate needs (people can leave home to have a COVID-19 vaccination unless you have been identified as a close contact);
  • Exercise outdoors in groups of 10 or fewer;
  • Essential work, or education, where you cannot work or study from home.

Accessing and providing mental health services is allowed under the current Public Health Order. Please keep in mind that all residents in Greater Sydney are being asked to only leave home for essential reasons, so please use your clinical judgement in determining what is essential. Telehealth is available and recommended.

There are also restrictions in place for the rest of NSW such as mandatory mask wearing indoors and restrictions to visitors in homes.
