Interest Groups

AAPi currently has a variety of interest groups focussing on a specific area of psychological practice, topical area or social issue. Interest groups provide a forum for members to engage in learning and discussion with fellow psychologists who have mutual interests. Interest groups are administered by Coordinators and may also elect a members committee. Interest group members often host meetings online but may meet face-to-face or a combination of both.

The following interest groups are currently operating:

  • Psychology and Social Justice
  • Neurofeedback and Psychology
  • EMDR
  • Perinatal Psychology
  • Indigenous Psychology
  • Autism
  • Children and Adolescents
  • Trauma
  • Power Threat Meaning Framework
  • Rural Mental Health
  • NDIS
