Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) are evidence-based therapies that are highly effective for the treatment of OCD.
This very practical workshop will teach you how to use ERP together with the ACT Kidflex model (a simpler ACT model adapted by Tamar Black from the original ACT Hexaflex model) to treat OCD in children and adolescents. You will learn how to use ACT together with exposure exercises in sessions with children and adolescents. We will explore how to collaboratively develop home tasks with children and adolescents to practice using ACT and ERP in between sessions, and you will also learn how to provide recommendations to parents of children and adolescents that are consistent with ACT and ERP.
Participants will not require any previous training in ACT, ERP or OCD.
