SIRA has announced a new approach to requesting approval for allied health treatment and care, with the introduction of the Allied Health Treatment Request (AHTR), which will replace the Allied Health Recovery Request (AHRR) for requesting insurer approval for allied health treatment in NSW personal injury schemes.
During the transition period until 15 December 2024, the use of either form is permitted, and from December 16, 2024, only the AHTR will be accepted.
The simplified form incorporates the five principles of the Clinical Framework for the Delivery of Health Services.
