AAPi in the Media - Cost the number one barrier to access

AAPi Executive Director, Tegan Carrison, is featured in this article in The Age on the growing crisis in youth mental health services in Melbourne’s west, where demand is outstripping supply. Tegan said that while psychologists had immediate availability to help new clients in the western suburbs, cost was the number one barrier, noting “The way to create better access to psychologists is to raise the Medicare rebate to $150 for every appointment.”
