Important Update from insurance.com.au

As part of insurance.com.au’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality insurance solutions and exceptional service, we have recently completed a comprehensive review of the insurance market. Following this review, we are pleased to announce a new partnership with Keystone Underwriting Pty Ltd (“Keystone”), an underwriting agency authorised to act on behalf of underwriters at Lloyd's of London.

Keystone brings extensive expertise in the allied health sector. The new Psychologists insurance product includes Professional Indemnity, Public Liability, Products Liability and Cyber Liability, designed to support the risks faced by practising psychologists.

This change reinforces insurance.com.au’s commitment to our partnership with AAPI and support of AAPI members.

What’s New for Members?

In addition to maintaining the core elements of your existing coverage, insurance.com.au has successfully negotiated enhanced benefits, including:

  • Unlimited in the aggregate for Public Liability.
  • Standalone Cyber Insurance with a maximum limit of $25,000.
  • 4 contract reviews included for policy related matters to assess third party contracts received as part of your business operations to determine whether your existing insurance program provides appropriate coverage for the obligations and risks outlines within those agreements.
  • Coverage for Psychedelic Assisted Therapies*.
  • Play Therapists included in scope*.
  • Reduced premium while Insured is on an extended break* (e.g. parental leave) can be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Principal’s Indemnity Extension*1 designed to extend cover to the principals of a business for vicarious liability of the psychology services provided by yourself as a contractor.

The above benefits are subject to the policy terms, conditions and exclusions.

Transition Support for Renewing Insureds

To ensure a smooth transition, insurance.com.au has negotiated the following endorsements:

Difference in Conditions2

If a claim arises that would be covered under the previous policy, the Difference in Conditions (DIC) clause acts as a bridging endorsement to allow the current policy with the new Insurer to respond using the terms, conditions and exclusions of the expiring policy but within the limits of current policy.

Extended Continuity of Cover2

Ensures that your coverage remains uninterrupted, even when switching Insurer.

2Subject to no known prior claims and/or circumstances that might lead to a claim.
