Biography:

Hi, I'm Georgia (she/her). I am a psychologist with general registration under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA). I practice out of my own business, Nightminds Psychology, which consults out of Pakenham, Victoria, Traralgon, Victoria, and via telehealth.

I completed undergraduate and postgraduate training in psychology at Monash University, and am affiliated with the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPI). My qualifications are:

Bachelor of Arts (Psychology & Criminology)
Graduate Diploma of Professional Psychology
Master of Professional Psychology

Areas of work:
I currently work with clients across the lifespan (6 y.o.+), and have had experience working with children, adolescents, adults and older adults in the therapy space. I offer therapeutic support to clients with a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, major life transitions, grief and loss, and work and study challenges.
My areas of expertise include working with neurodivergent clients (e.g. autism, ADHD and learning disabilities) and clients experiencing challenges associated with chronic health conditions, pain and disability.

Therapy approach:
My therapeutic style is open-minded, validating and gentle, holding space for clients as they process major events in their lives. I aim to build safe and respectful therapeutic connections with my clients, ultimately providing a space where one can feel comfortable to unmask and be their complete, authentic self. I utilise humour and playfulness, and encourage clients to stim, fidget, and move during sessions as they feel comfortable.
I am an eclectic practitioner, drawing from various therapies to ensure treatments are tailored to each client. This includes cognitive behavioural, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative, person-centred, strengths-based, counselling and play-based approaches. I work from a trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and intersectional framework, and advocate for the uplifting of all diversities in our community. Nightminds Psychology is a LGBTQIA+ safe space.
