Biography:
Shambhavi is a registered Psychologist and Behaviour Support Practitioner who has more than six years of experience in the disability and mental health field. She previously worked in the aged care sector, supporting people through therapeutic interventions and risk management. She also has a background in assisting victims of crime and support work. She has a special interest in cognitive assessments and working with young children and adolescents, with experience in a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Therapy, Trauma Focussed Therapy, Play Therapy, and Mindfulness.
Shambhavi strongly believes in empowering clients and is passionate about helping people overcome barriers and thrive to be the best version of themselves. She is a bilingual clinician and offers therapy in both English and Hindi and incorporates into her therapeutic work a creative approach that stems from lifelong interests in painting and drawing.
